Great work by our scholars in tackling governance at the grassroots!

The institution directly participated in the regional nongovernment organization, which focused on research presentation specifically on “The Interplay of Aristotle’s Rhetorical Triangle in Sangguniang Kabataan Political Campaign Speeches”, which became an avenue for SDG discussions, policy formulation, academic showcase. 

During the 7th Mindanao Research Convention, the representing students and faculty was exposed to SDG integration, including identifying problems and challenges, developing policies and strategies.

This research engagement aims to enhance communication and collaboration in communities, contributing to better-informed local elections and grooming effective policymakers for community well-being. 

Holy Trinity College of General Santos City demonstrated its role in the advancement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contributed to the discussions on local and regional development through academic research and partnerships. Through this engagement the institution took part in the importance of creating policies that aligns with understanding how influential political speeches are. The institution engage with sustainable development is evident through the institution’s commitment to academic inquiry and regional collaboration. HTC actively contributes to the advancement of sustainable development in the region through its participation in academic forums, such as the 7th Mindanao Research Convention. This convention provided an avenue to connect academic inquiry with community development by highlighting the relevance of research in addressing local and regional issues. The university’s participation is explicitly framed as aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:

Alignment with Regional Development and SDGs HTC actively contributes to the advancement of sustainable development in the region through its participation in academic forums, such as the 7th Mindanao Research Convention. This convention provided an avenue to connect academic inquiry with community development by highlighting the relevance of research in addressing local and regional issues.

HTC’s research involvement aligned with the following SDGs:

  • SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): By fostering collaboration among educational institutions and researchers across Mindanao;
  • SDG 4 (Quality Education): By promoting research-based learning and critical thinking; and
  • SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure): By encouraging innovation and the practical application of knowledge.

By championing academic excellence in these regional settings, the institution signals an indirect but active role in supporting the broader goals of sustainable development and regional collaboration.
