TESDA Regional Director Commends HTC-STVET WorldSkills Competitors
GENERAL SANTOS CITY — The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region XII recognized the achievements of Holy Trinity College School of Technical Vocational Education and Training (HTC-STVET) competitors following their medal finishes at the WorldSkills Philippines National Competition 2026 in Clark, Pampanga.
TESDA Regional Director Remegias G. Timonio, Ed.D., CESO VI, led the recognition during a congratulatory visit on September 16, 2026, at the HTC Accreditation Room, where the institution’s competitors and their coaches were commended for their performance in the national skills competition held from September 5 to 11.
During the visit, Timonio also recognized HTC’s contribution to skills development and expressed TESDA’s commitment to sustaining and expanding its programs and initiatives with the institution.
Among those recognized was Aldrin Alon, who competed in Electronics Technology and earned a gold medal at the national competition. Alon is set to represent the Philippines in the upcoming WorldSkills ASEAN competition, advancing from the national stage to an international skills competition.
The congratulatory visit was attended by HTC President Dr. Rey T. Albano, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Marilou E. Albano, STVET Dean Prof. Leonila R. Juanatas, MIT, College of Business and Accountancy OIC-Dean Herman Barcelona, MBA, expert coaches, and faculty members.
The recognition underscored the partnership between TESDA and HTC in advancing technical-vocational education and preparing students for national and international skills competitions.
