Diploma Scholars Receive Scholarship Orientation During Training Induction Program
October 8, 2026 — New and returning PQF Level 5 Diploma scholars gathered at the HTC Triplex Ground for the Training Induction Program (TIP), an orientation designed to familiarize them with scholarship guidelines, institutional policies, and their responsibilities as TESDA scholars.
The program opened with a welcome address from STVET Dean Prof. Leonila R. Juanatas, MIT. A highlight of the event was the special address delivered by Ms. Joylen C. Labanon, Supervising Specialist from the TESDA SarGen Provincial Office, who discussed the implementing guidelines under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA), pursuant to TESDA Circular No. 51, series of 2026.
During the session, scholars received important information about their scholarship benefits and the requirements for maintaining their scholarship status, including attendance expectations, academic standards, and compliance with institutional policies. As a mandatory TESDA orientation, the TIP ensures that scholars are informed of current regulations and understand the responsibilities that come with their educational assistance.
The initiative reinforces the institution’s commitment to supporting learners through accessible technical and vocational education. By equipping scholars with the necessary information from the outset, the program helps them prepare for their academic journey and pursue their career aspirations with confidence.
With this new chapter underway, the diploma scholars are encouraged to uphold academic excellence, remain committed to their training, and make the most of the opportunities available to them.
