From Eco-Friendly Products to Sustainable Livelihoods: HTC CBMA Supports Women Entrepreneurs in Sarif Mucsin
Holy Trinity College of General Santos City (HTC), through its College of Business Management and Accountancy (CBMA), strengthened its community engagement on April 10, 2026, through a visit to the Women’s Association of Purok Sarif Mucsin in General Santos City. The initiative focused on assessing Project TARP, a community livelihood project that produces eco-friendly katsa tote bags.
Led by BSBA Program Head Prof. Jerish F. Pada, MBA, CBMA SOCI Coordinator Prof. Herman G. Barcelona, MBA, and BSBA student leaders, the visit aimed to evaluate the project’s progress and identify opportunities to improve its long-term sustainability.
Discussions centered on key aspects of business development, including financial management, profit-sharing arrangements, and market expansion. Through this engagement, HTC helped explore practical strategies to strengthen the community enterprise and support the women’s association in developing a more sustainable livelihood.
The initiative reflects HTC’s commitment to applying business education beyond the classroom by connecting academic knowledge with community needs. By engaging directly with local livelihood groups, the CBMA BSBA program promotes entrepreneurial thinking, responsible business practices, and opportunities for economic empowerment.
