Heart Through Change: HTC Builds Resilient Futures

GENERAL SANTOS CITY — Holy Trinity College of General Santos City (HTC-GSC) officially introduced “Heart Through Change: Building Resilient Futures” as its Academic Theme for School Year 2025–2026 during the 17th State of the School Address (SOSA) delivered by HTC President Dr. Rey Trinidad Albano.
The address was held on November 10, 2025, at the HTC Trinidad Complex as part of the institution’s 41st Foundation Anniversary celebration.
Carrying the message, “Foster resilience, act with kindness,” Dr. Albano encouraged the entire HTC community to face change with strength, courage, fortitude, and compassion. He emphasized that change should not be viewed merely as a challenge but as an opportunity to learn, grow, and build a more hopeful and inclusive future.
Through its new academic theme, HTC will place resilience at the center of its teaching, research, community engagement, and campus life. Academic programs will continue to foster critical thinking, creativity, adaptability, and innovation, preparing students to respond effectively to emerging local, national, and global challenges.
The institution will also strengthen support systems that promote students’ mental, emotional, and overall well-being. By cultivating a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment, HTC aims to ensure that every member of the community feels supported and empowered to overcome difficulties.
Partnerships with various organizations and sectors will likewise play an important role in addressing pressing social and environmental concerns. HTC will continue developing programs and initiatives that promote sustainability, equity, innovation, and meaningful community participation.
In his address, Dr. Albano reaffirmed HTC’s unwavering mission to provide transformative and accessible education despite the international and national challenges that continue to shape society and everyday life.
He also announced new academic programs that the institution plans to offer in the next academic year. These include the Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Master in Business Administration, and Master of Arts in Education major in Educational Leadership. The new offerings reflect HTC’s commitment to responding to the evolving educational, professional, and social needs of its students and the wider community.
Dr. Albano also presented the significant accomplishments and progress achieved by the college over the past year. He recognized students who brought honor to the institution through awards and achievements in local, regional, and national competitions.
Several school programs and initiatives that received commendations were also acknowledged. Updates were shared on institutional projects, including the renovation and improvement of key facilities designed to provide students, employees, and stakeholders with a more conducive learning and working environment.
The 17th State of the School Address concluded with a renewed sense of hope, unity, and dedication among members of the HTC-GSC community.
Through “Heart Through Change: Building Resilient Futures,” Holy Trinity College seeks to transform CHANGE into HEART—the strength, courage, fortitude, and bravery needed to face uncertainty and overcome adversity.
