HTC and Department of Health Strengthen Public Health Awareness Through Community-Based Learning
Holy Trinity College (HTC) continues to strengthen its partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), supporting initiatives that promote public health awareness, disease prevention, and community well-being. Through this collaboration, the institution integrates health education into student activities, encouraging Trinitarians to become informed and responsible advocates for healthier communities.
On January 24, 2026, the National Service Training Program–Civic Welfare Training Service 2 (NSTP-CWTS 2), known as CIVICats, opened the second semester of Academic Year 2025–2026 with initial discussions on Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization and Awareness. The session highlighted the importance of vaccination, public health protection, and shared responsibility in preventing vaccine-preventable diseases.
By incorporating public health topics into civic welfare training, HTC helps students connect classroom learning with practical community service. The initiative reflects the value of collaboration between educational institutions and health agencies in raising awareness and encouraging informed participation in public health efforts.
Through its continued engagement with the DOH since 2024, HTC reinforces its commitment to health promotion and community development, helping advance a culture of prevention, civic responsibility, and well-being.
