HTC Welcomes Japanese Exchange Students Through AFS Program

Holy Trinity College welcomed two exchange students from Japan, Riko and Sayumi, through the American Field Service Intercultural Programs Philippines (AFS IPP).
The two students will join the HTC Senior High School community for School Year 2026–2027. During their stay, they will attend classes, interact with fellow students, participate in school activities, and experience daily student life at Holy Trinity College.
The HTC community is encouraged to help Riko and Sayumi adjust to their new environment by introducing themselves, including them in conversations and activities, and providing support as they settle into the school community.
The AFS exchange program promotes cultural understanding by allowing students to experience different educational systems, traditions, and ways of life. Through the program, HTC students will also have opportunities to learn more about Japanese culture while developing respect, empathy, and global awareness.
Holy Trinity College has supported the AFS Program through the years by welcoming international exchange students and providing opportunities for cultural exchange, global learning, and lasting friendships.
The AFS community also expressed its appreciation to HTC for its continued commitment to the program and for once again opening its campus to international students.
Special recognition was given to HTC President Rey Albano, PhD, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Marilou Albano, and Sir Jexie Bantillo for their support and efforts in making the exchange experience possible.
Holy Trinity College welcomed Riko and Sayumi to the Home of Talents and Champions and wished them a meaningful stay filled with new friendships, learning opportunities, and memorable GoodHoly experiences.
