MikroTik , a Latvian company, holds a Seminar/Training on how to configure and use their product last December 7-12,2018 at Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges of General Santos City. Different schools from around the Mindanao attended the seminar, including Holy Trinity College of General Santos City. “ I have learned so much about router OS and the sublime art of configuring different mikrotik devices” said Prof. Ryan Tuyan , a faculty member of College of Engineering and Technology Education (CETE) of HTC. Mikrotik was founded in 1996 to develop routers and wireless ISP systems. It also provides hardware and software for Internet connectivity in most of the countries around the world. Their experience in using industry standard PC hardware and complete routing systems allowed them in 1997 to create the RouterOS software system that provides extensive stability, controls, and flexibility for all kinds of data interfaces and routing. They decided to make their own hardware, and the RouterBOARD brand was born in 2002. They have resellers in most parts of the world, and customers in probably every country on the planet. .The main goal of the seminar is to train different school consultants in Mindanao to be the legitimate trainor for their product and to be their partners in the future. This seminar was hosted by boot camp of MikroTik and PSITE Philippines. Engr. Roy Lopez Pamitalan was the trainor of the said endevour.
