Supporting Women Through Every Stage of Motherhood: HTC Upholds Expanded Maternity Leave Benefits

Holy Trinity College of General Santos City, Inc. recognizes the importance of protecting women’s rights, health, and well-being in the workplace through its maternity leave policy, as provided in the College’s Administrative Manual. In compliance with Republic Act No. 11210, or the 105-Day Expanded Maternity Leave Law, the institution provides qualified female employees with maternity leave benefits that allow them adequate time for childbirth, recovery, and childcare.

Under the policy, qualified female employees are entitled to 105 days of paid maternity leave, regardless of the mode of delivery. An additional 15 days of paid maternity leave are granted to qualified solo parents, while employees who experience miscarriage or emergency termination of pregnancy are entitled to 60 days of paid leave.

By incorporating these provisions into its Administrative Manual, HTC demonstrates its commitment to creating a workplace that recognizes and supports the needs of women. The policy helps protect employees during significant stages of their lives while ensuring that maternity-related responsibilities do not undermine their participation in the workforce.

This institutional commitment reflects the College’s recognition that gender equality extends beyond access to employment and includes providing appropriate workplace protections and support. Through its maternity leave policy, HTC promotes a more inclusive and supportive working environment for its female employees.
