Holy Trinity College of General Santos City Strengthens Its Commitment to Non-Discrimination, Inclusion, and Protection Against Harassment

Holy Trinity College of General Santos City (HTC GSC) upholds its commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, equitable, and respectful learning environment through institutional policies and mechanisms addressing discrimination, harassment, bullying, hazing, and other forms of misconduct. The College’s commitment is reflected in its institutional policies established in 2018 and reviewed and updated in 2026, as documented in the HTC Student Handbook, Revised 2026.

The College maintains institutional provisions that promote respect for individual dignity and protect members of the academic community against discriminatory practices, harassment, intimidation, and other forms of misconduct. These provisions are supported by established reporting, grievance, investigation, and disciplinary procedures. The 2026 revision of the Student Handbook reinforces the College’s commitment to fairness, confidentiality, accountability, and due process.

HTC GSC likewise maintains provisions addressing harassment and other forms of abusive conduct. Section 10 of the Student Handbook establishes formal and accessible reporting channels through the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), Guidance and Testing Center, Office of Student Discipline and Decorum, and designated academic personnel. Students may also submit complaints through the official online reporting form available on the College’s website and official social media page. All reports are treated with confidentiality and fairness, and students are protected against retaliation for filing legitimate complaints.

In implementing these policies, the College designates institutional offices with responsibilities for receiving concerns, providing support, facilitating referrals, and addressing reported violations. The OSAS serves as the primary office for receiving and documenting student grievances; the Guidance and Testing Center provides confidential assistance and appropriate referrals; and the Office of Student Discipline and Decorum handles cases requiring investigation and disciplinary action. The Disciplinary Board serves as the authorized fact-finding body to ensure that cases are resolved through established procedures and due process.

Furthermore, the Student Handbook identifies harassment, threats, intimidation, coercion, and hazing as offenses subject to corresponding administrative sanctions, depending on the nature and gravity of the violation. These provisions are aligned with applicable national legislation, including Republic Act No. 11053 (Anti-Hazing Act of 2018) and Republic Act No. 11313 (Safe Spaces Act).

Through its institutional policies, designated offices, grievance mechanisms, and disciplinary procedures, Holy Trinity College of General Santos City continuously strengthens its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, human dignity, and the protection and well-being of the entire academic community.
